Counselling with Sue Reid

Counselling is a safe place for you explore the parts of your life you are finding difficult. It’s a time for you to use for whatever you decide, and always without pressure or judgement.

I specialise in working sexual abuse, sexual assault, and other trauma, but you can use counselling for all sorts of issues, for example self-esteem, stress, depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationships, suicidal thoughts, harassment at work, identity issues, breakup, or decision-making. Dealing with ‘unwanted habits’ of whatever kind can be a large part of counselling. Counselling can also be useful in helping us negotiate periods of change.

My method of counselling is called person-centred. This recognises that we all experience our lives in our own individual way. It may not feel this way, but you have the potential to understand yourself better than anyone else can. My job is to help you do that and to find your own inner compass so you can make decisions which suit you better. I aim to accompany you as you do this and help you build confidence in your ability to be in charge of your life.

Some people come for just a few sessions, others for longer. It’s up to you. Please be reassured that I am meticulous about confidentiality. For more details on this, click the button above marked Privacy.

Sessions cost £55 and last a full hour, and are by appointment only. 24 hours notice is required for cancellation or the full fee is payable, though in cases of sudden illness this is reduced to a £10 charge for room rent.

I work in person at Hot Yoga in Battlefield in Glasgow, and online and by phone. I also sometimes work for organisations in Argyll where I live.

Phone me for an appointment or for a 15 minute informal chat about what’s involved and find out whether counselling could work for you: 07799 728439.
